The NGK MR8BI-8 spark plug, Iridium Laser series, features a center electrode with a laser-welded iridium alloy tip. Iridium is among the hardest metals in the world, with a melting point above 2450°C and high resistance to spark erosion, providing roughly double the lifespan compared to standard nickel spark plugs.
